The Kroc Center is going to save my aging-outtashape-twin-mama life! This morning I went there right after the kids headed for school. I stopped at the front desk and got the boys All-You-Can-Play passes, which cost less than two evenings of babysitting, and then took them to the PlayCare center, which is staffed by real grownup mothers with experience. The ratio of kids to caretakers today was about 3 to 1. While the boys spent a happy two hours there eating, napping, and playing (I checked on them once and my son also dropped in on them; all good!) I worked out, swam some laps, and sat in the hot tub.
I walked out of the fitness/pool area more relaxed than I’ve felt in weeks. Picked up the boys–both happy. Visited with a friend for a few minutes.
Now if my two eldest hadn’t called within seconds of each other, I’d still be relaxed…but my eldest needs his wisdom teeth taken care of (yikes!) and my second eldest was pulled over by a cop for not signaling a lane change. Great.
